Positions Opening at CPDL
Graduate Research Assistant Position
Graduate research assistantships are available for students who would like to pursue a
M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and perform research at the Computational Plasma Dynamics Research Laboratory
at Kettering University. We are seeking highly qualified graduate students with
a background in aerospace related subjects, electric engineering, and/or physics. Current areas of
research are computational plasma dynamics, space propulsion and micro/nano fluidic modeling. Hence,
potential candidates must be proficient in C or Fortran 90, and have a good working
knowledge of modern computing platforms. Knowledge of kinetic theory and plasma
physics, and experience in hydrodynamic modeling, particle-in-cell codes, DSMC codes, or CFD software would be a
plus. US citizenship will be preferred although it is not a requirement.
Interested students should contact Prof. Subrata Roy at sroy@kettering.edu
